YOGA 101 – 6 WEEK BEGINNER COURSE
Start your new year with a clear mind, an open heart and a body that moves!
At Wild Spirit Yoga, each group class is a gentle blend of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga styles with an emphasis on spiritual practice and the 6 week beginner course is no different. During this course we will explore all aspects of yoga and how to incorporate all of those aspects (not just the physical asana practice) into our daily life.
This course is designed for the complete beginner or experience yogi who is looking to deepen their practice. During the 6 weeks, we will explore and learn about the different styles of yoga, take a brief look at the history of yoga as well as some key philosophical concepts. We will take an in depth look into the foundational postures including the sun salutations and explore the importance of alignment for each.
We will also focus on the importance of our breath during each class and learn how to connect our breath with our movement and our entire being both on and off the mat. We will also take the time to learn about different styles of meditation and how to incorporate meditation into our daily routine.
You can expect all of this and more from this beginner course and I’m so excited to share the transformational benefits of yoga with you!
Yoga is very individual and one person’s yoga practice will look very different to the next person’s and this course will help you to not only learn how to practice yoga but also connect with your own mind and body and develop your own personal and unique practice.
Date ~ Saturday 7th March – Saturday 11th April (6 Saturdays)
Time ~ 11:30am – 1pm
Location ~ The Wild Spirit Yoga Home Studio in Canning Vale, Perth WA (address will be given at time of booking).
